have known Joan since she moved to Park View Residential Home where I was involved in the Sunday Services. I often saw her when I was making a mid week pastoral visit when she would tell me how much her Methodist Christian Faith meant to her and how much she appreciated the Sunday Afternoon services at Park View especially with her daughter Helen accompanying her. Helen became an important and helpful link between those leading the services and the home. Thank you I shall miss both of you. Janet Bentley

I knew Joan towards the end of her life in Park View Residential Home. Her daughter Helen used to bring her to the services regularly. Joan sang the hymns from her heart and these, together with thoughts, prayers and bible verses shared, clearly brought her comfort and peace. I remember mentioning my trip to Israel in one service and Joan, Helen and I compared notes afterwards seeing where we had been in common in the country.
